I love traveling, flying above the earth, and am fascinated at how abstract sights are from a distance. I shoot these aerial views from the windows with my iPhone. These works are created from memory, taking liberties with color, line, shape, and form. This series is based on my flights over the Midwest area of the US. I find these paintings even more poignant now during the COVID-19 crisis. It is my fervent hope that the viewer will be transported to their own memories, your imagination, viewing these works, as we find ourselves immobile and living in a much smaller world.
